Joan Schoenhals and Joseph Kovach are pleased to preview their new equine facility, Birch Glen Stables, where caring for your horse is our passion. Located in the peaceful hill-town of Heath, Massachusetts, which borders Whitingham, Vermont, Birch Glen Stables offers boarding, training, and farrier services. Currently under construction is a combined stable and riding arena to be housed in a state-of-the-art Megadome building. The new stable will have up to six 10’x12’ matted stalls available for boarders, a heated tack room, wash stall, and lounge. The lounge will have a viewing window into the 60’ x 100’ riding arena. In addition to the riding arena, riders would wish to know that we have a 60’ round pen and access to miles of trails and dirt roads.
Joan and Joe currently have three Haflingers, including our seven year old mare Gemini JMT, her two year gelding, Nevan and a yearling filly, Messenger’s Mystery (Mysty), along with Joe’s quarter horse mare, Doc’s Bonito Berry (Bear).
- Boarding: full board, expert care.
- Training: a skilled trainer, Joe can provide a variety of training programs to fit the need of your horse.
- Farrier Services: also an experienced farrier, Joe can provide regular or corrective shoeing for your horse.
