Located in the peaceful hill town of Heath, MA, which borders Rowe, MA and Whitingham, VT, Birch Glen Stables provides boarding, training, and a variety of equine-assisted growth and learning opportunities. A small facility, we offer a relaxed environment for our clients and expert care for their horses. Amenities include a Megadome riding arena, round pen, access to miles of trails and dirt roads, and matted box stalls.

Owners Joe Kovach and Joan Schoenhals reside on the property. A horseman with a lifetime of experience, Joe is a masterful trainer and a skilled Farrier. Joan has been passionate about horses since childhood. A psychologist by training, she coordinates the workshop offerings. Joe and Joan have 7 horses of their own. Haflingers and Quarter horses are their specialty. They enjoy sharing their horses and their skills with friends and clients.
